I have done a little work on my existing front end of my 39 110 packard. I had 2.5 inch spacers made a machine shop. The spacers go under the knee action shocks that serve as the upper a arms. Next was a pair of coil springs from late model buick from local pick and pull.the springs were cut down one coil and the inside of coils were ground down to reinstall the stock spring guides. The total drop was three inches. Also a shock absorber was added to help the ride.
The rear of my 39 110 packard received a 81 coupe de ville, caddy rear end.The bolt pattern is the same. The packard is an open drive line so that wasn't a problem. New perches were installed ,The Brakes went without much problems. The stance was lowered by two lowering blocks. The packard will now cruse around 65 mph all day .It has the original six cylinder and three speed.
