SO-CAL BBQ Get Together (3rd Times A Charm)

the last 2 BBQs where such good turn outs. we thought we do it again. I'll be providing more info as things progress.

yes, this is a family friendly event. so bring the family out for the day.

BEACH ENTRANCE FEE:
$7.00

OFFICIAL TIME:
11:00 AM-5:00 PM.... it is a BBQ, so we should start early and get the fires going. i suggest that you get there early if you want preferred parking. closer to the picnic area.

FOOD:
it's the same deal as before. this is a potluck BBQ. please post or PM me as to what you will be providing. this way no one brings quadruple of anything.

if you are gonna drink beer or hard liquor make sure you do it in a paper or big gulp cup and hide the empties well... every public beach or park in So. Cal. is a no booze zone, so you gotta be cool. so mix some margaritas or jungle juice up in your plastic gas can!

no need to bring.... plates, napkins, utensils, cups or charcoal. there was plenty left over from the last BBQ.

there's a charcoal grill on the premises. we'll be needing more. If people have portable BBQs, please bring them out. we will need no more than 3.

i hope that you guys/gals can make it out. it should be good fun. bring out your lawn chairs and make sure not to forget your cameras at home. this will be a great photo op for your cars.

i thought tequila flowed thru your veins. of course you can just bring paper cups and brown bags. Munster is more than welcomed.

first BBQ 10 people left before we got them all lined up.

second BBQ was bigger and better. we didn't get everyone lined for a photo op. alot more cars where there. i just couldn't get them all in one pic.

 

I thought it was more like you waited for the ten to leave before announcing you were going to take group pictures?
Something about not wanting to risk breaking the camera lens or something...

Maybe we could take pictures instead of saying Gracie...
before lunch.

Driving over the bridge sounds like fun but ya need some actual brakes at the other end... That mutha is steep!

I did a tour of the PV Drive East, South, West, and North roads, quite twisty in a lot of places, with a sports car club a few years ago.
It was with a bunch of Porsches, Lotus 7, Ferarris and my 40 GMC in the middle...yea I kept up!
That's a long drive all the way around though.

 

If most (already met lowsprings and 53burb) don't mind a newbie I'll show up. Might even have to bring the Missus since she's always trying to keep me out of trouble . Unfortunately my ride probably won't be ready yet .


I'll bring some Match Light, chips and cervezas if that's cool.

well, the right front fender is bent and the front splash pan is pretty much ****ed... long story. so i may want to talk to you about doing a little work if it's possible.

Id, better crank on the shoebox to get it there. Need to rebuild the master cylinder and cut out the rear floor to clearance the drive shaft....and a little paint will help too

YEAH tattoo Deluxe is the **** man... my buddy is part owner and did a few tats on me... Peter Loggins... haha yeah the cousin to THE Kenny Loggins. Peter is a great guy and also a pro swing dancer... a wirey lil guy with tons of energy. I will call him and see if he can make it... maybe I will pick him up on the way... not a hamber but just a fun good guy.

Well Hell. What I have been waitin for. I am just sitting here rockin out to my new bootleg Pantera live at the whatever in Minnisota 2001 reinventing the steel, dam, Dime is going to be missed. Low and behold I come across the 3rd annual BBQ that the good lord had put into Dante's hands and hell ya I will be there again. This time someone please brings some lighter fluid. I want to be able to mingle with ya'll and not spend 3 friggin hours tryin to light a fire. Watch everyone bring fluid now! This is going to be good. I hope that all in So Cal and around can make it.
