We are in Hilton Head for the week and are planning a day trip to Savanah on Wednesday. Any suggestions on some cool car things there or even just some things to not miss seing? We like out of the way interesting little shops to brouse thru also. Thanks in advance for any input.

River Street is always fun. Several neat little bars, restraurants and shops there. Lots of neat old town squares and such. The Eighth Air Force Museum is out at the airport, if you dig WWII bomber stuff. It has been a few years since I have been there though, most of my relatives there have passed on.

Tybee island is alway good. Spankeys has a great menu and great prices. I use to eat there every wed. night when I lived in Savannah. Stingrays was said to be good also. Ghost tours are always good. You can do nothing and sit on the riverfront and watch the ships go by. Dragstrip closed on 2006.

Ms Wilkes dining room for lunch is a must... East Jones Street best southern cooking bar none! Pinky Masters great local bar on Drayton Street if it is still there. I think you just missed the Brew Fest... bummer. It is a great City enjoy!
