Been watching the weather, something like 20% chance of rain on Fri.,60% chance on Sat. Where's a drought when you need it!
I talked w/ Don Moyer a little bit ago..........sounds like he got 8 p***es in today and Tony and his father of Ross Racing laid down a 7.19 in his digger ! Sounds like a great day......Littleman
got a nice set of seats in the swap meet...lots of halibrands there but to much for my wallet...good day yesterday. Left this morning as it was very wet. May clear up and they may get an afternoon in, but I had to leave early afternoon to watch my daughter twirl at the HS football game.
The crew really works hard there.....rain stopped around 11:30 and cars where on the track by 1:45..... And it had poured all morning Got all of the show in. We made it to semi finals of the quick 16 before my driver went to sleep and gave one away by inches Tony
Sorry I dont know all the names....but I know in HR it was our buddy Bucky who was runner up against a black nova. In the Q16 it was the blue "Bad Habit" 33 Willys going red against the copper/bronze color 33 Willys
Great to see Bucky made it to the finals. The Nova is Jay Wardell's friend, but don't know his name. Ray Kasicki has the bronze 33. His brother Eddie has Phenomenom, and was racing at Indy yesterday.
Hey Bob nice pics! I was just wondering something though. I didn't see much variety in them, was the car count on the low side? I realize it rained.
Yes, the weather forecast for Saturday morning was poor, and the car count reflected it. Great group of cars, but less than there should have been. It did rain Saturday morning, but they got back to racing Saturday afternoon, and ran the race complete.
I couldn't make it, but I will have the Last Logghe Altered there in the spring, with new orange paint - this time running on all six cylinders. See you soon, Don, Littleman, Jacin et al.
Thanks Bob! I had a prior commitment on Friday so my plans for going were dashed but I will be there in the spring.
