Hooked up with Coupe-De-Cab today at the warped tour today in NJ.....had a chance to go on stage with him as he played a song with the band Mellincolin (sp?) man it was RAD!!!!!!!!!

and for you O/T police who say this isnt HAMB/Car related....check out his shirt!!!!!!!!!

Steve is a stand up guy, treated my little cousin and I better than some family would have treated us!! My cousin was almost crying at the end of the day saying today was the best day of his entire life!!! (he had never been to a real "concert" and there were like 10 of his favorite bands playing! let alone he is a die hard skater as well!)

Thanks again Steve for showing us a REAL GOOD TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

    best seats in the house!!!!!!!!

That's pretty cool. Another nod to Cab is check out the book Disposable: A History of Skateboard Art by Sean Cliver. It has a cool section on Cab and his graphics...

You won't meet any nicer and more genuine guy than Cab. I'm still stoked when one of my skating heroes comes up to ME at a show or a swap and says hi.

Rad - and kind of wierd. Been skating for 18 years and never stopped to think that any pro might end up wearing something I designed.

    GRIMLOK,
you may want to thank Ryan for that one ... he was kind enough to send me the shirt awhile back:)

    DIRTYT,
I agree with you 100% on the band from Sweden and all the nice Hambers i've met since i've logged onto this board!

    KIRK,
your my hotroddin HERO for putting on such an awesome show like Billetproof every year, your a ruler... it's always great to see you and say what's up... see ya very soon and hope to have that same parking spot the Road Zombies had last year.

    SWITCHBLADE327,
sorry you broke down on your way to the show, i know i'm doing the tour once again ...so maybe we'll meet up next year. not too sure what states i'm choosin, i like to switch it up every year two weeks at a time.

    LULABELLE,
there's no such thing... remember, it's just a movie:)

    RAT RODDER,
Steve ...sweet ride you have there, glad you had fun and your very welcome. Did you know after you saw us on the Minibikes we got kicked out of the MX track ( no medic on site) with our 50's then almost got them impounded by the cops for cruising them around the parking lot of the raceway, it was a big ordeal and a big mis-understanding. they wrote up a huge report and since all i had on me was a my tour laminate with my pic and name on it, i gave him all fake info. it was pretty funny, i felt like a little kid getting in busted for doing nothing wrong. The cop told all 5 of us to walk the bikes back to our buses, that was a long walk back:( pretty fun story though. the track owner said we could ride around the closed MX track, but never mentioned to the renta-cops that we could!

    LOUIE,
if your reading this, i want to thank you for the awesome ride in your '32 roadster from the Rumbler's show in Brooklyn back to the tour at Randell's Island, i appreciate that very much and it was super fun! I never road in a roadster before and i had a blast, boy ...are the NY streets bumpy as hell, pot holes everywhere:(
Louie is a super friendly guy and a great person to know.

    CAFFEINE,
Rob ...Glad to finally meet you at the car show and i'm stoked you and your Cuz had a fun time the next day.
Thanks again for the killer toolbox you striped for me, it's definitely going in the back of the coupe when it's done!

thanks everyone else for the nice compliments, hopefully next year i can treat more Hambers (who are into this music) for a good time as my guests at the Vans Warped Tour, plus if i can break from this long busy tour ...i would love to see your cars and garages.
    take care,
    CAB

I'm no hero, but thanks. Also, check out the map that comes with your registration and you'll see that the Road Zombies spot is already reserved for you guys.

  15. Wow, man. You were/are one of my heros since I was a little skater punk in high school with my Santa Cruz board. I have a couple of friends who were old school freestyle BMX'rs (team Huffy with the old gay pink tornado shirts!) who have had nothing but good to say about you. Its nice to know that a real cl*** act is still around.

I think you guys have already been through toronto though. Man....I miss all the good stuff.
