Anyone out there know where to purchase the emergency brake levers on the versailles calipers, or have a part #??? Any and all info appreciated, THANKS.

  2. As far as I know, used part only. I'll see if I can find a part number; I installed complete rear in a buddy's 40 about a dozen years ago.

  4. U pull it is your best bet, they are still in the yards if you look around a bit.

I had a complete setup a year or so back but someone needed it to get on the road or you would be welcome to what I had. You may be able to adapt something from a crown vic or a continental or the like.

Most guys that have them need them for their own versailles rear.

If you need good pictures or measurements, I have a setup sitting on my shelf.

Just how many Lincoln Granadas did Ford build??? There can't be that many in the s**** yards....

  7. I don't know, they were a pretty popular car here. Lots of poor people living in our neighborhoods around here, sounds better to say you have a Lincoln then to say you have a ford.

I used one in a build I did over 20 years ago and parts were hard to find then. I finally managed to find a rebuild kit for them. Seems like they were Wagner/Lockheed parts if I remember correctly. Make sure you don't lose or misplace the ball bearings that are used in the caliper as well, and guard the T-bolts on the axle flanges with your life, they are exclusive to just this rearend and haven't been available since I was looking years ago.

I wouldn't think that anyone would be producing the lever by itself so it's time to start haunting Craigslist or a salvage. Most folks won't want to sell pieces from a complete set.

I think I trashed the extra parts I had after I sold/gave away the car that had the rearend in it, I'll look tomorrow and if I find anything will contact you.

Thanks for your quick responce guys, measurements or picks would help alot. I have managed to find out that Duralast, through autozone sells the calipers with the lever installed, but I only need the levers so no go there. I have requested part #'s from Duralast but nothing so far. Again thanks guys, and 19Fordy, I've read the article.
