I know its kind of last minute but I need to get a room for Hershey, can anyone suggest anything decent? Nothing fancy, just clean sheets and hot water would do.
All the rooms close are usually booked year to year, but you might get lucky or check out a campground. High meadows or Conewago Campground.
last night i just booked a double bed room for 4 night at a best western about 10 miles from there. there is some rooms to be found but getting scarced.
go to a rest stop, pick up one of those hotel/motel brochures and start callin. last year we went to hershey and planned on sleeping in the truck. found rooms all over the place. could have even stayed in Hershey if we wanted to pay more.
We're staying at the Comfort Inn in Midway. It's a bit of a drive to Hershey but the room rates are MUCH better. Nice hotel, we have been going there for years now.
I always stay in Carlisle....about 40 minutes away up I-81 to Hershey. Lots of motels to choose from on the route 11 corridor adjacient to 81. I've gotten a room as late as 4 days before the event. To get to Hershey from Carlisle.....take I-81 north to route 39 south. Travel about 5 miles south. Brings you out right at the main Hershey flea market intersection. Good Luck.
Google is your friend. I stay at my flea market space, The Chevrolet Motel. It is fully occupied. Google Hershey hotel and make a few calls, make no mention of car show. Most hotels keep a few rooms for regular folk.
Found a motel for Hershey and Carlisle for $68.50 a night but booked last year. Once you find a motel I usually book for the coming year. 20 minutes away.

Also try searching by Zip code 17111 there are over 1600 hotel rooms in Swatara township and all less than 10 miles from Hershey.
