any thoughts on this problem. i have an under floor mount power brake system ,every thing is great till the car gets up to temp plus 15 to20 minutes ,then the brakes slowly start to apply them selves . i get it home ,the brake lights are on with no foot presure so i jack it up and the front and rear are completely locked (its a drum drum setup), ill let it set for 1/2 hour and they spin, if i roll the rear tires backwards the brake light comes on and im outside the car !! i have adjusted all the brakes and the E-brake so does anybody know what the hell is going on could it be the heat from the exhaust pipe? any help would be appriciated
Since you mentioned that they are power assisted brakes, possibly the booster is leaking vacuum and causing the pedal to apply itself. Just a guess. Try disconnecting the vacuum source on the booster and see if the problem clears itself.
happend to a freand of mine with a 1932 roster the frmt brake lins were to colse to the exhaust system he had to move his lines away from the exhaust
When the problem happens crack the lines at the master. If the wheels free up you probably have a bad master.
all the brakes look up when the brake fuild gets hot it exspands some were it must be getting hot did you get the right master clynder for drum brakes they have driffernt residual valve
