Everyone that loves this site needs to go to theatre and see the movie "Lawless". I saw it tonight, and stepped into a time machine.

  2. I saw it last night, lots of old cars and it was very period-correct on all levels. I'd like to see it again.

    Thanks mate!!
My back is playing up, what you get for falling 1000ft without a full parachute. Hope to be out tomorrow, you know working in a hospital is a hell of a lot more fun than being an inmate!

Thanks again guys, yeah I get that one all the time 'why jump out of a perfectly good aircraft',
Stock answer, 'you obviously have not seen a RAAF maintained C-130'!!

Honestly?? The first few were kinda scary and I found myself wondering why the hell I was there, after all it's voluntary to be a Paratrooper. But it's like a drug, after a while you just need to do it, 2,660 leaps everything from 1000ft to undisclosed altitude on oxygen HAPO (High Altitude Parachute Operations).
It was all fun until that last jump.

A customer bought the '30 Coupe that got shot up, had to fix trhe "bullet" holes. Kind of a shame how they punched holes in a good solid body to place the charges, but that is show biz. Bob

Saw it last night as well. Pretty good and era as well as occupation hazard correctin my opinion. However, some of the dialogue seem slurred through the accents. Wasn't sure when "Jack" started to brag about his new '32 if he said Model B or C roadster. By the way, they seem to have some world class doctors hanging out in that part of the woods!

  21. Yeah, I was curious how many real cars they smashed up to make this one. That makes me hesitant to watch -

  22. You take care and get better soon Doc! That movie does look interesting.

We watched it last night. It's a pretty good movie, esp since that's my favorite genre. We were behind a group of idiots who thought it was a comedy. The sad part is they were all my age, not kids. They were all on their cell phones before it started, thought I was going to have to go all Forrest on them but they powered them off when the movie got started :) Yeah you'd have to have seen the movie to know what I mean about Forrest.

Best movie i have seen in years! Saw it twice. Very good flick. Everything is period correct. The only thing that threw me off was the Delivery trucks headlights seemed quite bright for 6 volt? Probably converted to 12 for the movie to ease the actor to start it up easier? Still a really great movie and well worth the admission fee! Tom Hardy (Forrest) seemed a lot like Mike Ness from Social D also don't you guys think? Same attitude, stance, etc... Still kool, just saying. Shia Labeouf was impressive also and drove those cars like a champ! Surprised since most of his roles play him as a kid. Didn't think he was up to stepping up to a man's role.
