I wanted to get my torque tube cut down and installed, but needed to mount the ****** first. I did not have the 32 bracket for the rear of the transmission. The good thing about having a father who is into 32 fords is the abundance of leftover parts. A quick trip to dads house netted an actual 32 transmission with the appropriate mount. I opened up the gear box and found that the transmission is okay, except for the output shaft has some chips on the teeth, so I think I will stick with my '35 box. The deuce ****** also had the clutch arm on it, so I will swap that to my box. I already have the clutch pedal, but am missing the brake pedal, as a PO modified the holder, I ***ume for a juice brake conversion. Here is a pice of the trans mount parts, the 32 trans, and the torque tube.

Thats great Dutch. It would be interesting to see it with the tarp off, but I like the rounded over 'deck' on it.
It seems that every one I have seen done cuts the body right above the bottom body line. I have more of a mind to leave the other body line so that it looks like the cabriolet. I did look at a cabriolet this weekend, to see exactly how it terminates them, right where the canvas for the top starts. Looks easy enough to pull off so I think I am going to try it

  4. Sorry, i don't have more pictures of it.
I have the same idea since a European tudor body (suicide doors) is waiting in my garage with a rusty roof and rusty front window area.

Obviously, the challenges when turning any car that had a roof into a roadster is the top of the body where it rolls over and also the windshield. Some people just use the existing windshield, but I think it looks more authentic and nicer if you cut it off entirely and graft on a true roadster windshield. A little more work but worth the effort.

There is a guy running around locally with a tub made from a Tudor and it looks pretty good actually.

Thanks for stopping down the other day Walker. I told you I have the least impressive work space you'd ever see!

Not a problem Louvers, great to meet up with yo. As far as the work space, its not the size it's what you do in it! Thanks for showing me how to punch louvers as well.

I had the opportunity to stop by Industrial Ch***is and meet Steve (Elpolako) today. A very nice guy. He gave me a quick tour of his shop and the things he is working on. After seeing a few of his build threads I can tell you that things look even better close up. All of the projects currently being worked on were full of nothing but the highest quality workmanship. Thanks for the tour Steve.
