I remember that in the 1950s, station wagons were not considered suitable for traditional hotrods. All the heavy gl*** and extra sheetmetal was an unacceptable weight penalty for a fast car. Even worse, station wagons were ridiculed as 'grocery getters' and mothers cars to haul kids around. Station wagons were NOT cool.

That chopped wagon rules. Cool pics. I've saw a ****load of wagon drag cars through the years, they can't all be slugs. I guess the only acceptable drag cars were '55 Chevies and Willys.
