Help Needed with 1936 Dodge brakes.

First question is, are there replacment parts for them, and if so, who makes them? This is a 1936 dodge truck, so im wondering if the spindles are adaptable to other models ect. Any knowlege much apreciated.

I make a disc brake conversion that should fit your truck. It will have two small bolts at the top of the spindle and two large at the bottom. You can see the kit on my web page, www.rustyhope.com. Stock parts are available for the drum brakes, but unless your drums are good, be prepared to mortgage your soul for two new front drums. Let me know if I can help you.

 

www.robertsmotorparts.com has all the brake parts you should be needing, otherwise try NAPA, most of the parts are listed in the reference books holding up the wobbly leg on the table underneath that stupid computer they use...the stock drums on the trucks are pretty decent, I'm not sure if the p***enger cars ones swap over, and if they did I'm sure they're no better since the brake shoes are identical for most of the truck/car applications across a wide range of years...

Some one said 2nd Gen camaro rotors and calipers but the bearings I tryed for a 1980 Canaries don't work I'm fed up with my axle I can't order cause ups wont come to house so I'm trying to find ways of doing it from parts store

you could always rebuild your parts. have the shoes relined(sometimes napa can send them out for this) and also hone the cylinders, or have them stainless sleeved.
