It's the last of the Nostalgia Drags of the season at New England Dragway in Epping, NH this coming Sunday...who's going to make it? It's always a great day of racing and a great show, plus it's the last nostalgia event until next year...I'll catch you there. The 4th Annual Old Fashioned Sundaaay! Presented by the Cam Snappers. Open to all Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, & Customs '72 & older. Gates open at 7:30, racing starts at 9:00.
You are 100% correct, Todd. I totally missed that, so thanks for pointing that out...you just made my night!!!
That'll be cool to see what Jake will do in the 1/4 mile if you can make it. If you can't p*** tech, there's always a show area that'll have you right along the pits. You might want to check out the rule for the A, or B Street cl*** for some of the basics before you go all the way up there planning on running. Things that come to mind when I've done it...neutral safety switch, external battery cut-off swith if your battery is in your trunk, seat belt, windows... Here's a link to their handbook: http://newenglanddragway.com/home/images/pdfs/racerhandbook.pdf Hopefyully we'll see you there!!
Oh boy, Might make it afterall! Dave, usually tech requires a driveshaft hoop with in about 10" of front u joint, coolant overflow tank for radiator, seatbelt, battery hold down etc... Never had any track look for a neutral safety switch, or windows though. Helmets usually if the car is 13.99 or quicker unless convertable (14.99) atleast that is what NHRA/IHRA looked for last few times I ran Epping or the Valley.
It all depends on which guy you get at tech, but they can/will look for any of the stuff listed in the manual. Check out the lists on pages 19 & 20, I've had them hit everything at one time or another depending on who did the tech. Here's a link to their handbook: http://newenglanddragway.com/home/images/pdfs/racerhandbook.pdf
I got everything except kill switch. No neutrul safety switch either so doing ok. I got a phone call from a good friend who read this post he was concerned that my car may not be safe at 110 it does wheel hop when I get off gas quick. 1/4 mile may to much? And to wreck Jake it would ****
Why are you concerned, Dave...ya really think it'll even do 110 in the quarter??? haha Drive it up and put it in the show....that's we're mine will be since it's all-show-and-no-go as they say!!
