1950 packard clutch button on dash?

    Does anyone know what the clutch ****on on the dash of a 1950 packard does? When my car is idling and i push the clutch ****on the car dies? Any info would help. Thanks:D

    Post back if/when you find out. I have a 49 with the same ****on. I have not pushed it yet tho...

    I would LOVE to push it and see what it does, but my car ran a grand total of 2 days since I have had it. Stuck valves...

    Engages the vacuum for the vacuum operated clutch. They worked poorly and most were removed soon after purchase. My 48 had it. I have the valve and am missing the rest.
