Opinions on an aluminum flywheel vs. stock steel for a 324 olds. Very hard to find a 324 with a manual ******. Mine is beyond resurfacing. This will be in a model a sedan hiboy. Aluminum I can buy but concerned about it being too light in weight for the rotating ***embly. Not racing it.

    Thanks

I have had an aluminum flywheel on my 324" since 1994 ( in my 41' Ford convertible ) and have had no issues with it.

Don`t be concerned with using one, be concerned on who`s you use. Tony @ Ross has all the olds stuff and manufactures parts that work and wont fail.

Thanks, so drivability is not an issue. Never had an aluminum flywheel, thought you need the m*** to get er moving for normal driving if there is a NORMAL

An early Olds has a heavy rotating ***embly to begin with.....say compared to a 283 sbc or a 302 Ford.
A lite wheel you will enjoy over the 28-30 lb stock iron......and they are safer
