I was going to use a T19 ,4spd in my 56 F100 with a 302. However I have been considering a T5 but was wonering if 1. it will bolt up to the bellhousing and 2. if I can use my orginal clutch and throw out bearing. The mech. clutch linkage I worked out years ago with the previous owner and it works fine. Thanks in advance.
Not much help here but,you will probably have to sit them side by side and measure the input length, the size of the front bearing retainer where the throw out bearing rides, and the bolt pattern.
There are some great tech threads on here if you do a little searching. I learned that the input shaft length dictates which bellhousing. Early small block Ford's had the 5 bolt bellhousing but the 302 came out in 68 and only in the 6 bolt as I remember. I am using a 90ish bellhousing against a similar vintage T5 behind my 351W. Also went with the S10 tail shaft on the Mustang T5 to move the shifter farther forward.
Thanks. Sometimes ya get tired of searching. I seem to get sidetracked. I will check them out.bwasnt any info on the T5 thread I searched or I just missed it. Thanks again.
