    Got a model A with a Mercruiser 180 L4, 5 speed, running a Holley 94. I need a better choice for a carb. Is 390 Holley 4barrel too big?

don't know about for sure about the Holley. i'm guessing it's a bit big. Ford 94 is 162 CFM. you might consider a Rochester 2gc 2 barrel - flows 278 and 311 CFM, depending on carb. Another choice could be as Autolite 2100 2 barrel. they come in 8 sizes - from 190 CFM to 424 CFM. Adapters are available for both carbs. Both carbs are quite reliable. Autolites are easier to find and cheaper (less than $50 on EBAY).
Motorcraft $18 carb kit from Rock Auto and you're in business. Good luck w/your project...jack
