carb question

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hotrod 32 ford, Sep 16, 2012.

  1. Will a edelbrock 4 bbl 550 cfm be a good carb for a stock sbc 350 for normal driving conditions ? Are they reliable ? Manual or electric choke ?

Even though they're not my favorite carbs, I think the 550 will work out for ya...
    Have at it!...;)

It will work just fine. They are reliable. My 500 has seen about 300k, total, on 5 engines, on 6 vehicles. Still going strong. Go with an electric choke. Set it, and forget it. Just make sure that you set you float levels when you get it, and make sure not to run over 5.5psi.
