Nice detail work on the brake lines. You're always good for things like that.

Okay, I'm all caught up again on this thread. The progress has been nothing short of amazing. I'm loving the way this little tree winder is turning out. But then again I'm kinda biased to these goofy cars.

That's the deadline I'm shooting for. Has to be done for this.

Thanks Jr. it's amazing how large these motors really are

Thanks. Those little loops do a good job of absorbing movement and provide a little flex too when everything is rumbling.

Thanks. I'm glad it didn't get tossed

Got my brakes all ****oned up tonight. Have to pick up a mechanical brake light switch tomorrow and a couple other small things. Big thank you to my pal Stevie( gearsforguts),
Who is always a great help at autozone when I need to get something figured out.

Going to start the fuel lines later this week and hopefully the battery cables too. Trying to do all I can while the body is off.

Heres a body shot before primer. It took very little filler.

Got a bunch of odds and ends knocked out tonight. Ran my battery cables, ground straps, and tweaked my pedals some. Waiting for some stuff from Vintage Speed so I can do my fuel system. Hopefully I can get that knocked out this weekend if the stuff comes. I hate waiting for parts

Couldn't help to try the seat on for size. Also wanted to see if my shifter handle needed to be bent more. Everything felt comfortable though

19 minutes of seat time and no engine noises? I'm not buying it!

I'd have had that around the block already! Who needs all that sheetmetal, it's just extra weight.

Lookin' good. I'll stop in on my next trip over that way to check it out.

Fuel system done and carbs rebuilt. Also got my driveshaft in. I'm working on replacing the old wiring from the headlights and wiring up the marker lights on top of them to function as turn signals too..back at it

Speaking of which (the suspense is killing me), what is the "new direction" on the wheels?

That's a great pic from when we brought her home Gary. Forgot how high she sat... Man it looks different now

Nothing exciting. Just some original late 40's Ford hubcaps on my steelies. There was too much going on with the wheel covers, chrome grill, and some of the other stuff. One of the main reasons I scaled the intake setup back to just two carbs too. I think clean, simple, and traditional with the right original parts is what I'm trying to do. Check out the ch***is pics from the most recent posts you'll see em on the wheels. Ran the same wheel tire and hub caps on my old green roadster and I liked the look with the dark paint on the body

I'm going to spray the paint Sunday morning... Can't wait. In the meantime,I scored an Edmunds fuel filter and added it into the fuel system.

Done!!! Still wet in these pics..it'll flatten down some as it drys to 75% gloss...really happy with how it came out. I use an Iwata LPH-400 gun, 1.3 tip, which is an older model..but it lays the paint down really nice.

The iwata lph 400 is still my favorite gun I've ever sprayed lays down near perfect every time. I live the color also that deep maroon is perfect for your project.
