    hi,

I have seen many projects of doing a front clip, using an S10 or other frames to enhance the AD trucks. It seems that most want the truck to ride lower than stock. I am interested in modifying my 1955 1st series truck but am not sure what i have to do to get the same height as the stock truck. Maybe I am odd to want it that way but we all have our likes and dislikes.

I would prefer to use springs instead of air bags(I am thinking right now anyway, unless there are issues with springs). I just wonder what happens if they fail or have a leak?? I dont really see if springs are used, how to compensate for the engine weight and how much that will lower the truck when put in. It would not be that desirable to do the job and find it sits lower than you expected or have the front height different from the back.

    Any comments are appreciated..

    thanks
