Great save! Just service it, clean it up, give it a larger exhaust system to help with the breathing, and drive it!

Awesome score and x 10 on the sleeper calls.

Tom Beatty was a contemporary of Barney Navarro and learned supercharging from him, ran a belly tank at the lakes and Bonneville for years, first with a blown flathead and later with a blown Olds, before that ran a '27 roadster with a blown '32 Ford flathead...stuff wasn't always pretty to look at, but ran well...went into the blower drive business using top-mounted blower, and multiple v-drive belts...p***ed away some years ago (little know fact about Tom...he also drag raced, but with a Mustang motorcycle, just for fun)....

Just my opinion but that's cool as hell! I think you should just clean it up, tune it up and drive it. I'll bet you'll be surprised at how good it works. It such a neat time capsule of a "sleeper". I'll bet he won a lot of races.

not directed at anyone in particular - but some of you have to understand that LUCK has nothing to do with finds like this. He was checking ads on CraigsList, and found the car. He was prepared to purchase it and did so. When people claim that I am 'lucky', I refute that and tell them that I was not lucky, I was ready. Most of the 'lucky' people I know do NOT sit around waiting for something to happen. What is that old saying? Luck favors the prepared?
