Header Proximity to Power Steering line

Check the tuning manual or DVD that came with the carb

 

I'll check the pressure, although the fuel pump is new, too. (man, I've been changing LOTS of crap on this thing....you'd think it was 46 years old or something! Course, now that I think about it...the rubber fuel line going into the fuel pump WAS pretty nasty...

 

This as been an interesting line of thinking. A friend is running into a similar issue with a 57 Belaire...it's looking like the ethanol in the gas is destroying the fuel lines and clogging the filter.
