I have two cars, a 65 impala SS and a 47' fleetline! I look forward to becoming a part of the action, as I have been a p***ive observer for years!

Thanks guys. Plans of the fleetline is getting the stock engine running, getting the artillery wheels redone, and lowering it. We'll see where it goes from there!

Welcome. nice cars. But as you are already findin out most of us like the Fleetline. Impala would look great with some old skool wheels and tires on it.

I knew that would be the case ;). I bought the impala when I was 16, and I have gone many directions with it over the years. I have run craigers on it for a while, and even the original SS hubcaps, which I really like. I went with the larger wheels because I wanted good brakes (13" disc brakes). I also swapped to an overdrive 200-4r ******. My intent was to build this car to be driven, so although I have alienated the purists, it is exactly how I like it.

I love traditional too, which is why the fleetline will be wearing some nice wide whites with these artillery wheels. I want my cake, and I want to eat it too :D

Will do! My dad is working on a nice 50' fleetline right now too (black one). Can't go wrong with a fastback! He will be lowering his, and putting skirts on it and wide whites with lancers....
