    Hi
There is a few 39-40 Mercs in Denmark
The black one was the famous Palle Johansen AKA "emiliedk" car.... some years ago: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=507749

I imported the white 40 Conv. from US of A ca. 6 years ago, It have changed hands a couple of times since

Then there is some project moredoors and a Street machine Hotrod 39 convertible

So i am really looking forward to have Kevan to cut my 39 merc and make it just as perfect as yours Sled..... Congratulation

I will absolutely come to meet my friends at A-Bombers next year and do the Line-up

Thanks for doing this thread Kevan and Sled

    Tim

    Interesting to know Tim
the credit for my car its ALL Kevan,he's the mastermind and the artist..thanks to him im fullfilling my longtime dream...

just curious where your nice white convertible is now..still in Danmark or somewhere else in Scandinavia???never seen this one anywhere on the great north..

Plan for my car is having it fully done in bare metal and cruise in santa Maria next year with Kev..that's the master plan ...no paint on it but metalwork fully done...

It's actually a 54 cad engine with a wild homemade crossram intake and runs British SU carbs.

Are you going to GNRS in january, would be great to meet you there...... or even better at A-Bombers next year

The white convertible is in Denmark, as an original, i have not seen the car since i sold it, it was rusty with alot of fiberglass on and under the floor and under the fenders, seems like the latest owner have fixed that

That's awesome! That's a tough lineup to organize...let alone in your own backyard...the '39 is definitely sayin "I've been doin this shit for 70 years, what took all of you guys so long?" haha

I shot a few pics several years ago at an event in Washington featuring 3 '40 Mercs all done differently.

The purple car was Walt Kaplin's, the burgandy was Bill Tofrey's and the pink one was Don Barnes. RIP Barnsey.

It's not often you get 3 cars together that started life in the same mold and then see where the custom work has taken them. I had a shot with 3 '53/4 Chevy hardtops also.
