I had the chance to get this old Ford for cheap, like haul it away.
They thought was a 35 truck, flathead & ******, and a over drive?. frame was shorten and it has a heavy duty rear end in it, not sure if it is a Ford rear end or not.
    thanks for any help!

Looks like a Model T truck worm drive rear, Model TT is what those bigger T rucks were called.

But I am wondering what that mini gear box is? Is it part of an overdrive turned backwards?

Try to put up pics of that part, if you get the car and pull it apart.

Not an overdrive but a 1928 Ford truck underdrive.

Not sure of make, but most likely an auxiliary after-market trans for "TT" Possibly a Warford?

The TT and early AA worm drive rears do look a bit alike, what is in the photos is an AA, the wheel studs are the tip off. The gear box is a High Low that was a factory option. Bob :)

Looks like someone cut the **** out of everything to make it fit!! That's a lot of work to bring that one back. How cheap was it?

Thanks everyone for repling, I have been collecting parts for awhile to build something. So far model A frame with a 8 3/4 rearend in it. A 1924? Ford Touring body, 3 grills, a few sets of headlights, other misc. parts. I saw this truck & dug the rearend in it and haul it home. I do recycled metal sculpture, so I get to do alot of picking at farms. Get lots of free stuff & have never payed over $200 for anything.
    Thanks again.
Also have a 41 Zephyr coupe pro streeted, not finished, may go with a g***er look.
64 Sunbeam Alpine that will get a V8 in it.
Just finished 61 Ranchero that is pro streeted

That Ford truck model AA rearend is good for yard art. Someone was building a doodlebug, common to use a heavy duty truck rearend for the lower gearing. That also would support the underdrive attached to the trans.
