Here is mine - all orogonal (I widened the rear wheels) 371 2bbl, hydromatic. This is only the 2nd two door post '59 Olds I have ever seen
Dusty and Erkin. Nice finds. I wish you both some good cruisng and loads of enjoyment with these cars. It is so nice to see more Oldsmobiles getting back in circulation again. **Neons** Bob
Here's mine,1940 90 Series coupe. Still has the in line 8 & first year automatic. Always nice to see more Oldsmobiles out there!
Geez after 3 trys! Got this out of a junk yard and drove it to it's first show 57 days later. Building a new 394 for it soon.
As found in 2008, story was the brakes went out it sat for 20 years. It had a smashed brake line that wouldn't let fluid to the rear wheels, anyway it had some sort of public service with the spot light holes, rear antenna hole patched over, spring loaded siren button on floor, HD front seat, and 3:08 posi. Ive done complete brakes, suspension, fuel system, rust bullet floors. Engine was tired and ran really well until about 3 days ago, I think it may have jumped timing.I have a 62 394 345hp Starfire on the engine stand I'm going to build with Ross parts and a possible OD trans conversion or maybe manual. It's 1 of 4920 2 dr sedans....
My 324 that is going into a Model A Tudor. Unfortunately the 54 Olds that it came out of is not HAMB appropriate. It rides on a C4 corvette suspension and runs a crate Ramjet 350.
I found my latest Olds last month while crusing Route 66. She was sitting for almost 30 years because of a bad transmission (like many other 1961-1963 GM cars). 79K original miles one owner car. I just could not pass up a deal on a number matching Southgate, Ca. Olds with working factory a/c. DVAP supplied the transmission, and she is crusing again! Though it's sad to see how many people say nice Impala...
Wow - my father's had '61 Oldsmobiles since I was a kid - on his 7th Starfire, and has a D-88 wagon...I've never seen a 2 door post..Great Find and awesome car!
Just thought i'd throw up a photo of my motor all cleaned up with some new braided wires I put on today, and a freshly rebuilt carb from Ross Racing Engines.
I like it. looks nice. Did you make up the braided wires from a kit or here they already made up? Where did you find them? **Neons** Bob
Sold mine ,but if you go to www.deanzrodzandracecarz.com there are pictures of the one I used to own. Nice story to go along with the sale.
Thanks! I cut and crimped them my self. Bought the wire and rajah ends from THEHOTRODCOMPANY.COM At first I was wondering if I'd like them but now that they are on I really dig the color combo. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
