That is a lot of VERY nice looking chrome on a shabby looking car, and it has a profound stance. This car NEEDS to be painted. It would be doing a dis-service to this car to NOT paint it.

I agree. That car is way to nice to not have new shiny paint.

If you painted it, it would lose a lot of it's charm.

My take on the paint issue ..
Its not so simple to just "paint it" .. To do a car like that, right.. It would need complete 100% dis***embly ..

You run the risk, of breaking part, clips, bolts, Most of the stuff on the car is made out of unobtanium ...

It would be a huge undertaking let alone it would cost allot to perform the task correctly

Since the car has made it some 50 plus years this way..let it be

I always like to see beautiful ladies age gracefully instead of some wild plastic surgery gone bad ( think Pricilla Presley)

Thats my two cents, spend them wisely

painting that car would make about as much sense as "joan rivers" getting more plastic surgery!

This car is proof that the "Patina" craze has gone to far. Besides all that chrome and rust clash big time. It's kinda like putting a ton of jewelry on a homeless bag lady.

I'm thinking that most of that stuff has already been off and redone.

I also tend to think that it's someones car and they can do as they like.

I've seen several photos of that car and couldn't help but wonder if it was my old car. I sold mine about 6 years ago and followed it for awhile but lost track of it....great lookin car.

Guys, please stop with the negative/positive comments. I don't care who likes the car or not and I really doubt the guy that owns it does either. I just want to get in touch with the owner.

Please do not get my post closed.

I don't care for patina but I love that wagon just the way it is. Apparently a couple other guys do too. Sure, it would look great with a shiny new paint job. If it were mine or yours, maybe depending on who you are, we'd have it painted the colors of our choice. The owner chooses to leave it the color it is. Let's just look and love it.
It appears the chrome and stainless have already been redone so it could have been repainted at that time.

Paint would make it cookie cutter and lame.
