well, I finally got the coe cab I've been wanting for a few years. a trip to Tn to Kennedy's Rod Shop scored the 41 cab & a 40 grille. already have the (bleep) diesel hauler (made from a box truck). now to get the cabs to switch places while I tinker in the shop. (pic 1 is the vision & pic 2 is the reality)
Join the COE group, some good knowledge on there. You have your work cut out, but it seems you have a good starting point.
here's what I'm starting with...like I said, now to get the cabs to trade places. cram the wheel both ways & floor it!
someone asked about naming our trucks. never have gone in for that sort of thing, but if I did name this one, it would be 'Forduzy' since it will be a Ford cab on an Isuzu frame. kooky, huh? (am I allowed to say the 'I' word on here?)
to the untrained eye, this may not look like progress, but we gearheads know better. a glorious afternoon of dust-breathing, knuckle-busting, teardown progress. thank the Lord for air chisels & smoke-wrenches. btw, there are a few small pieces for sale in that pile when I get it sorted out. I'll post then.
