Hi! I live in Lima, PERU and I just joined the HAMB in order to exchange info and ideas on my newest project. I have a 34 Ford hiboy 3 window coupe. I plan on buillding a HOT ROD with it, with a 392 HEMI (which I already have) and a manual gearbox. I plan on using mostly parts dated 1958 and older. So it has a real 50s hot rod look. I say mostly because it could prove difficult or hazardous to use parts of that vintage in parts like the brake and fuel system, etc. So yes, I want to achieve that look, but might upgrade on some areas. Well, thats it!!! Here is a pic of my project.
Welcome Domingo, Very nice. Going by the bald tires and typical South American fender modifications it looks like that old Ford was driven till it died.
Yes, it is rough....but since it's gonna be a hotrod and its gonna need lots of mods, guess it doesnt make much of a difference. Sure I wish it was cherry....but oh well!!!!! Gotta do with what I have!!!
Hey there Tom! I am domingo from moparts.com Im not sure if youve seen my posts there.... I was wonderng today if you sold any adapters so I can bolt my early HEMI to a 4 speed a833 trans...... email me at domingo426@gmail.com I want a manual trans on this ride....
I recognized your name as soon as I saw it. If anyone needs info on Mopars in Peru, domingo is your go-to guy. email sent.
Thanks a lot guys!!! Yeah, I bleed mopar!!! So that old Ford HOTROD had to have mopar power in it!!!!!! Nothing less that a 392 HEMI!!!!!! It's gonna be a mean mother!!!!!
Welcome! No better way to start a Hotrod than a 33/34 body. And on top of that a Hemi, man oh man! Good Luck to ya!!!
