    Back in those days the "traps" - timing distance - was 1/4 of a mile long. When the roadster entered the "traps" the clock would start. When the car exited the "traps" the clock would be stopped. The total time was the time it took to go the 1/4 mile. A time of 9 seconds equaled 100 mph. A time of 6 seconds equaled 150 mph, and so forth. The timing tags back then listed the time it took to run through the "traps" and the car's speed.

    What a piece of history. I hope all you do is make it roadworthy, safe to drive, and give it a good cleaning. Cars like this are not often found and need to be preserved as much as possible.

    That car has a jaw dropping look, so much prettier than a lot of other old hot rods.

    It's not even getting much of a cleaning. This car, believe it or not, still has El Mirage dirt in it's crevice's.
