Wanted: Empty truck from L.A. to Phoenix

Looking for someone from the L.A. area who may be heading to Phoenix in the next month. I'm buying a complete 55 Chevy front end from a fellow Hamber. I can make the trip but it would be great to find someone heading this way that has the room. I will gladly pay round trip gas, etc.

Talk to Dave at So-Cal-AZ. So-Cal brings parts from LA all the time and they sometimes use a guy that makes runs back and forth. Dave may be willing to give you the guy's name so you can make your own arrangements.

Dave at Socal AZ said they have to use a trucking co. for big stuff which requires crating. So that's not gonna work.

I have a friend going out there in a couple weeks that might be able to do it.
What part of the front end? sheet metal/suspension?

 

The complete front clip (sheetmetal): fenders, hood, aprons, rad support, etc
That would be cool, tell him his gas would be free!

 

What part of L.A. is it? can you pick it up from him near ASU?
Is it apart? can it be taken apart? i just want to find out everything before hand. I will ask him tonight.

 

The front end is in Camarillo. It is off the car and I can have the guy dis***emble to fit if need be.

what kind of condition is the stuff in? Will it all fit in the back of a dodge dakota?
I can go by his house on my way home from work and check it out since its on my way home just to make sure it will all fit.

 

Yes, it's from Vic Youngs car.
He is putting on a tilt fibergl*** front end.
That might be kinda tight in a Dakota even if everything is apart. Maybe you can look and see what you think.

 

I MIGHT have even better news for you. I have 2 friends that are going back there in 2 trucks so this might just work out if one of them isnt taking his motorcycles. I will call them both tonight and find out a date that they are going back.
Have him contact me so i can go by and see what all is there.

I live in San Berdoo, Im may head that way next week for work...got to do a job walk in Pheonix.

If someone can get the stuff to me here, Ill bring it with me, to you.

The stuff may need to be broken down though to fit in my F-250
