Here's a video of Saturday at Burlington. I made a huge mistake and listened to the weather man. So I cancelled out on Friday, then went up on Saturday as a spectator in my "normal" car. Man, it ****s being a spectator. But all in all it was a great day. It was sunny and warm but real windy, if the wind noise gets to you just turn the volume down. Doug Jonas, (the owner of the Haysead Corvette drag car back in the day), debuted his model A roadster that he rebuilt after the horrible crash he had going to Burlington 6 years ago. You'll see the pictures of it after the crash, in the video. It was just about a total loss after hitting a granite outcropping at speed. There was a lot of new rides there this year, quite a few from Canada. Canadian's sure build nice rods. Hope you enjoy. http://youtu.be/yRt6BDtrZ40
Thanks for posting the great pictures from the show. One question were there any pinstippers do their thing at the show and it so which ones were there. Thanks Jimbo
Yea, I thought I saw one from Florida, Volusia County or something like that. I believe there was another one also, not sure.
I saw at least 3 pinstrippers there on Friday. It was a beautiful day, but hard to see all the cars as they were coming in all day long.
nice little video ,saw my buddy heading out in his black f-100 ,thanks for the stroll thru the fairgrounds !
Nice video. You're right about the weather report - they said it was going to be a ****py weekend - the only rain was late Saturday afternoon so people split to get diner a little earlier. Good news that the attendance was only down 20 cars in spite of the weatherman. Today (Sunday)_ was beautiful in the mid sixties and sunny. BTW Paul got a Rep/Safety pick and looked real proud driving up in front of the grandstand to get his plaque. Got a mention from the announcer about the accident also. Dennis
Doug Juonis is a local long time builder-racer. First met him in '70, his 'Hayseed' was impeccable, and fast. The '31 roadster is the same quality of build, @12:20 in the video.
