i'm looking to see how much my studebaker 1948 champion 2 door sedan is worth the body is straight except for a dent in the trunk no interior buy I have se frames to the seats has a flat six with three on the tree with over drive the engine turns by hand and it needs almost all windows can anybody help me please
try posting some pics and more details like how rusty, etc. so, once you sell it what are you going to get to replace it?
As suggested above, get a camera, take some photos (at least ten) of various parts of the "damage". Post it all with words and then maybe. This is sorta like getting a written description of your date for tonight. Visual always works best.
I saw several similar Studebakers go in that range at an auction a couple of months ago. I didn't take any photos but wish I had bid on one of the coupes for a drag car. It seems unless they are complete and running they don't bring much and even then they are a very low buck car compared to Fords or Chevs in similar condition.
I could have bought a worn original 4-door that ran and moved in 2010 for $600. Get a copy of Old Cars Report Magazine off a newsstand somewhere, it's pretty self-explanatory.
I just paid $550.00 for 53 Stude 2 door coupe with a ***le. It needs a partial floor ( from south dakota) the rest of the body, doors and front fenders/ rear quarters are all real solid I also bought a 53 2 door coupe body and frame with rusted fenders and quarters for $325.00 And two parts cars for $300.00 ( I've got 4 all together) 2 cents worth. Steve
I won't be able to put pics till next week buy there's no major rust just that dent in the I got a 1958 Willy m38a1 that i'm going to be working on so I need to get rid of the studebaker thanks for the help
Some of those even have 4-lug wheels and small brakes, the cheap series whichever it was, I'm not going to look it up right now. Get it running, that usually makes them worth a little more, and if it turns over, you can get it to run.
This may give you an idea what it's worth, if in similar condition... http://www.collectorcarsforsale.com...tudebaker-champion-2-door-sedan/detailse.html
