Friends, I have a little problem. I need to understand where to buy and what it is. The mechanic that I am doing the engine 235, told me that in the back of the crankshaft, which is the drive shaft transmission, is bearing (bushing). I showed it in the picture. I do not have this part. In place of this bearing, we found a piece of mint **** pipe. As it is properly called? Where to buy it? Thank you.
are you running a 3 speed manual transmission or a automatic? if you are running a 3 speed this is the "pilot bushing" or " pilot bearing" "mint **** pipe" is funny. anyways look it up under this name and you should be able to find it and if not to fabricate one out of br*** should not be hard for a machine shope to do.
Yes, very funny. Ha ha. electronic translator translated funny ...)))) In the Russian language there is the word mint. This means the plant and the deformation of the object.
Rustem, as we discussed in our PM's, that Ebay one is for the driveline, not the crankshaft pilot. But if you take these dimensions to bearing houses you might have in Russia, they should be able to come up with something. There is nothing special about this part, just a bronze bushing. Here is what they say about it on Chevies of the 40's.
