Does anyone have any pictures of a cross ram intake on an open engine car they can post? Thanks in advance.
Google images is your friend ...well, not really a "friend" but you'll find pics easily if they exist. I was intrigued with your question so I found these: Not a great view of the manifold but you can see what it is: Here's a link to a futuristic double engine (open engine) roadster with cross rams on both! http://www.tachrev.com/PetersenPg15.htm Another one:
Are you talkin about the one`s that came in the 6o Chryslers. They stick way past the motor. There`s a guy from Masadonia Iowa(across the river in Iowa), about 40 miles from you. It`s in a 34 Dodge coupe. There`s also has been a T sedan at the Goodguys show in Des Moines. If so, I`ll try and post a pic later.
Those are supposed to be good torq intakes. The runner length is tuned to provide best performance at 3500rpm which was the rpm those 413's hit their torq peak at. Probably not what the OP is talking about but they are still super cool to see in a hot rod.
I saw a setup on a pulling tractor once. The owner said it kick in after the two blown motors would get the tractor moving down the track.
I love how new guys come on the HAMB and vaguely ask for some obscure thing and then they disappear! OK, I'll play.
I am looking to put some kind of cross ram intake on my car or run 4 webers. I wanted to see some pictures of cars already done. Thanks for the help guys it was just what I was after.
The OP is just full of exact information and he lists his occupation as 'mechanic'! I have or have had cross ram intakes for many different engines and many different brands of carb or fuel injection. Let's see if he finally manages to post exactly what he is after and which engine he has or is dreaming about - maybe then he'll get some useful information which pertains to his situation....
It is a SBC in Bobber style 38 dodge truck. I got all the usefull information I asked for from the pictures that were attached, it was just what I wanted and I thank the guys that took the time to post the pictures.
