Ah the Sweptlines. We had a '71 assigned to our patrol sector that holds a special place in my heart, literally. It took a bullet for me that had it not hit the A-post, would've hit me mid chest. I still got some brass jacket shards in the arm and the side of my head, but that didn't keep me from throwing a few rounds downrange. They found the guy about two blocks away, slumped over in the seat.
The Flight Chief wouldn't let them fix the truck, kept it as a reminder to us old guys and a wake-up call to the new hotdogs that rotated in.

    Love those Dodges.

  7. I don't have any pics but have a 71 short bed 1/2 ton, a 66 Power wagon, and a 68 D300 with a 9 ft. utility bed. they are waiting in line.

Just a heads up for you Sweptline fans, I'm building and selling the big block motor mount brackets for the '66-'71 frames...you can get a pair through me here or through Robin at Easy Street LLC...I'll also be offering the pre-'69 automatic trans crossmember kit soon as well so you can bolt a big block into your truck without having to track down the stock big block parts in the junkyard or ebay...
