1939-1948 Ford Parts. If you get a drop axle, make sure its for 2"axle boss (where the perch bolts through)

    Now go introduce yourself.

Stock parts. Should be able to find them local.

  4. that depends what you want to do with the car...do you just want to "fix it" so it will drive? do you want to make a hot rod out of it? do you just want to lower it? do you want disk brakes?

Just fix what's already there; Everything you need is readily available, for reasonable cost. That'll get it driveable, and in the least amount of time.

Jack up the front and shake everything...you are just looking for loose kingpins or tie rod ends. Relatively cheap and easy to replace, if not loose just shootemfull of grease.

if you look under the car you will see "buggy" springs-side to side not front to back and that is what makes changing out difficult.. Mustand two up front and a 8" rear out of a Monarc see to be the parts of choice--Fat man for the front end parts and junk yard the rest good luck!!

That's going to require an open drive line, start looking for a 9 inch.

Keep it simple... minimal changes to make it road worthy

If you just want to get it running now... just get an adaptor for the 302 to stock toploader... change out to a open drive later... as mentioned; Ch***is Engineering is a good way to go but with limited time the less you change the faster it will be drivable... I don't want to start a debate on old versus upgraded components... but, I've been running a SB Chevy with toploader and stock rear for years... its dependable but not the best highway crusier... If your goal is for grandpa to take a ride take the simple steps to get it done... now, if you have the resources and knowlege to make all the chages you want up front that becomes a differant situation...
