Who knows about shoebox ford door hinges?

Getting ready to finally start on my 50 2dr coupe!! I have a 49 fordor for a parts car (a really nice parts car). Just wandering what parts are interchangable. Door hinges ecspecially, and front fenders. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

Most shubox hinges are just plain junk from wear. I took mine and after much grinding of teeth and torch heat and an inpact driver, I got mine off and drilled 'em to 5/16ths,,,,used long stainless 5/16ths bolts for new pins with lotsa never-sieze. Worked like new for many years and the pins were always removable.
Re-installed using new 5/16ths stainless tapered allen head bolts instead of those old phillips-head screws.

The '49's and '50's don't interchange.

 

49-50-51 ford changed up the parts every year. All important stuff like hinges, latches, etc. They upgraded 50 items between 49-50 alone. 49 stuff was ****. 51 was the best latches, etc. but not everything interchanges. Pat
