Does anyone remember an FED called the brute that ran at detroit dragway and at milan dragway late 60's early 70's? Stan Pataki was the owner/driver. He was a friend of mine and I would like a picture of it. I help him run it but never took any pics. Also had it at autorama in 69 or 70.

I was around 8 years old the first time I ever saw a dragster. A cousin and I were riding our bikes and these guys had backed it out into the alley to work on it. 43 years later, I remember that day like it was yesterday.

I remember the first time I went to the dragstrip with the FED of my buddy. I drove the push car that was how they started back then. I got up to speed he waved me off and fired up throwing raw nitro onto the push vehicle which was like having tear gas in your face. I could not see very good and bumbed him alittle. I never will forget that day and sound and smell of a nitro dragster.
