Norwegian student looking after college in California

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Kvipt, Sep 26, 2012.

  1. Hi!
My name is Olav Kvipt, I'm 19 years old and live in Norway. I've been looking after a college in south California, but since I'm not known in the area, I would appreciate if someone here on the board could recommend a suitable school for me. The best would be a pure car customizing school, doubt it exists, but a auto-body technician school is what I'm looking for.

    Hi Olav,
Try contacting So.Cal. Speed Shop. I think Alex sponsors a school, if
not they can certainly head you in the right direction.

Chaffey College in So. Cal. is a reputable Jr. college with a good array automotive cl***es. They used to have a "Race Car Cl***", but it was dropped some years back.
I understand, they are thinking of bringing it back. Don't know if it has happened or not.

    Good luck.

  4. BTT for Olav. He is one rad guy, who btw knows more about Kustoms than most guys. He's one of the Kvipt brothers who run the Kustomrama website.

I cant help but I'm sure someone else can.

  6. Thanks for the tips folks! Appreciate it Chris and Sondre! :D Will check it out, and hopefully I'll find a school that might suit me :) Ever since i was a child, I'd always been dreaming about going to America and build cars, now it may become reality!

I've heard about Cerritos College having a fabrication course. Personally never took them. They also have other non automotive courses if anything else peaks your interest. The listings for the courses are on the left side when you open the link.

  9. Yes I noticed that Chaffey did not have that cl***! Cerritos is the school Masterson tipped me about as well :) And it's good that they have regular studies as well, then I perhaps can continuing my marketing study as well! :D

I don't know how sold you are about So. Cal. But, in Utah there is great college that has auto body and auto repair. As well as a bachelor’s of science in automotive, Weber State University. That is why I moved from California to Utah to go to school.
