Ok thank's for your comment , in France it's not easy to find this car .
For the red 46 do you know the number color ?

  9. Hell, it's not easy to find one that nice in the US. The colour is OK ?? but that maroon '46 is beautiful. I haven't decided on a color for my '48 yet but after seeing those pics I think now I know. I already have the flattie painted maroon.
Start driving your '46 & have fun while you're working on it.
    All the best. :)

  15. :D you couldn't imagine how many french guys would like to live on the ocean next side.... :D

anyway, that car is looking pretty good even if the color should not be my favorite too, I am quite confident about the future for that old ladie

Wish to be tomorow to see it by myself and have a cool ride together :)

  18. Here are some threads about lowering these old Fords.

Reversing spring eyes-from the TECH archive: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90824&highlight=spring

Good thread from Lono about lowering his '41: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=701300&highlight=shackles

Another thread on using longer shackles: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=600903

Another from the TECH archive mostly about axles but some good spring information: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=292075&highlight=spring

Great score brother, love those sweet Ford coupes. I had a 42 and a 46 tu-door and always wanted a coupe, maybe some day! Rock on with that beauty, Congrats man. ~sololobo~

Here are some sources for bumpers:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/1946-FORD-C...t=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr

the above is on ebay pretty good price....actually found 2 of them not badly priced.

Nice Ford! Enjoy it! Maybe find a 2x2 intake for it, some dual exhausts, some rear fender skirts, some cool old custom hubcaps, lower it a little more and you will have a very cool mild custom.

Here are a couple ideas, The light coloured Ford is mildly customized and the full tilt Lopez custom. All photos taken from Rik Hoving (Kustomrama).

Keep us posted on your path and progress.

    HC.
