Ford sold a lot of 60's at the US introduction in '37, as the general idea seemed great...but sales crashed after that when it was realized the things were barely fast enough to use in the real world. They were briefly desirable during WWII...along with severe gas rationing, the national speed limit became 35 MPH...look at Ford's specs there in post 12! Suddenly the thing was just right, for about 3 years.
When Simca transferred production to Brazil, Jacques Pasteur developed a hemi head for the V8-60 (which has absolutely nothing to do or in common with the Ardun V8-60 conversion) and for four years 1964-1968 they developed 140 hp....

Well, I still haven't heard back from the seller, so I am still waiting to even make a move. Maybe I would put the V8-60 in a speedster or something and drop a bigger flattie into the car.
