Hello. this is my 2nd attempt to introduce myself, first one did not go through? I'm 41, living in Vienna, Austria, Europe. I bought my first old car in 1990, a '64 Ford Cortina that I still have: Later turned to Italian scooters and Jap and Brit bikes, some of which I still have: '58 and '63 Lambretta '52 BSA A10 Plunger bobber, still in the works. But ever since I have built my first Monogram kit when I was a kid ('69 Pontiac GTO the judge), I have dreamed about something like this: '50 Mercury mild custom, with original flathead, matching numbers, 75,000 miles. I bought it 1 month ago. Though the former owners have already done most of the work, there are areas which I would like to change. Now many questions arise - especially about the misteries of a flathead - and I hope some will get answered here. Thanks
