    Lol, this is one I just bought. The original was in 2 pieces. Picked this one up for 80$

    They aint really fixable, the ones on my 55 are pot metal and not really weldable. Better off finding a good used one or buy a new one.

    Thats a purdy 56!! I would just run the cracked peice for now until you find a new one. Not many people will notice and if they get close enough to notice smash their
    head into the hood!

  10. Yeah pot metal is tough.. some use jb weld or there are companoes that restore it but you.are better off finding a good used one as it will save $ in the long run

    If you want it to be in one piece instead of two, squirrel nailed it on the first pitch.

    Until you do find a new one, drill a small hole at the top of the crack to keep it from getting worse.

    If you still have the broken one you can cut small strips from it and use it as welding rod with either o/a or tig. Ive also had good luck with aladian 3 in 1 rod. Pot metal is not very easy to weld and very tempermental to heat but it can be done. Just practice on the ****py one first.
