I'm using a set of 39 pedals in my model a frame that I'm building. I'm trying to figure out the angle of the pedals to make the toe board for the floor, but the clutch pedal is straight, and the brake pedal has that extra bend in it. Are the foot pads of the pedals supposed to be parallel to each other, or is the clutch pedal supposed to be a bit lower than the brake pedal? Something seems a little wacky.
The foot pads on my 39 pedals in my 37 are parrallel, will try and get a picture later today or tomorrow.
Thanks. So I guess my toe board will follow the inclination of the clutch pedal. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I'm a little confused... The toe board on an A is propositioned by the angle pieces that attached to the sub rails and the firewall. The '39 style clutch/brake pedal ***embly is fitted/modified to accommodate that positioning...at least it is on my model A's. Have you done away with the original toe board mount?
Yup, couldnt use the original. I have to make a new floor. I have a desoto hemi with an adapter for a 621 bellhousing and muncie. Stuff had to get moved around. I think I might have my pedals adjusted on too steep of an angle as well, because my toe board is going to have to be quite large. What angle do your pedal pads sit at?
You want both pedals hitting the floor when up should parrel with floor. The clutch needs all the travel you can get full up and down.
