ok guys, friends bel air got SMASHED.... insurance givin him money AND car back cause its far gone, anyways, we can make it work, but we need to find replacement panels like rear fenders... people keep sayin noone makes em, BULLSHIT! how could htat be possible? gimme a heads up someone, i KNOW that they are out there!
i think i found some todd..... http://www.nationalchevyassoc.com/ should be able to do it up with those lower rea parts, we can straighten the upper fender enuff to get the 55 packard lights on and fiberglass and bondo it up. oh, and someone said they had a deck lid for it last time i posted about it.
you will have to patch it all back together. no one sells complete 1/4 panels unless you find a parts car. you can only buy lower 1/4 panel pieces. also talk to FLAT-TOP. he has parts for it.
you would be surprised how many old cars do not have repro steel available. Only the most popular ones do. And its not just 50's on back....I can only find NOS quarters for my wife's 71 Buick convertible....and they are around $6000 for a pair . Find a parts car....thats the only way.
you might wanna try obsololete chevy parts...thier website is www.obschevy.com i don't remember if they have complete panels or not, but i know for sure they have patch panels, if ya need em...sorry to hear about the '53...either way they have alot of stuff... tony
if ya want i got a passanger quarter off a sedan delivery rusty at the bottom back but they make those patches... come get it and you can have it.
