Had it painted for the summer so I could drive it. Will be getting plated this winter.

Car was repainted in 1977 and put in storage in 1979. I pulled it out of garage last May. Floors, trunk and under hood are mint. I mean ZERO rust!

I don't care for the color, but a good GLOSS paint job will cost more than the car is worth. Polish what you have.

Plate the bumper, lower it a little all around, and drive it.

I'm with everyone who says keep it like it is!!!!!!! If you feel you need to do something, then maybe lower it like 50Fraud suggested. However, that car is cool just like it is!!

if that's original paint don't mess with it, it looks great as is, any safety or running upgrades otherwise that car is an awesome survivor, treat it as such

I would lower it an inch or two and leave the outside alone. Maybe some some minor custom things on the interior. Nothing that can't be put back to original easily. Please don't do flat black. Keep the shiny paint, maybe have some tasteful pinstriping done, and if you really want to change something flake the roof only.

Leave it alone and replate the rear bumper!

Please don't try and turn that sweetheart into a RAT ROD,,if you want to repaint it do it but please do it right,,that car is just too nice to screw it up!

Building it into a custom would be cool but be prepared to spend a boat load of cash.

Drive it and enjoy it. HRP

Put a good coat of wax on it, change the oil, maybe replace the wiper blades and gas it up until the fuel gage reads full; then empty the gas tank by starting the motor and cruising the car on any boulevard and... repeat again and again:). Cool Caddy!

Money is not really an issue as far as having it painyed and such! I am just kicking it around. I was considering having J.F. Launier of JF Kustoms do the work so I know it would be show quality! I dunno, I guess I will have to ponder it for a few days before I make a decision!

leave it as it is. Like my Lincoln capri, these cars have a mild custom look to them right off the showroom floor. I like how it sits now...... cruise it!

That thing is killer as is. If it were mine, Id probably do a mild lowering on it, and.............. Drive the snot out of it. Like others have said, Cadillac got it right on from the factory. If you absolutely cant leave the body alone, shave the door handles, nose it, and deck it. Do not remove that cl***y side trim though! But my gut says just drive the piss out of it!

  26. Wow, what a sled! That thing is beautiful! And the color is great. Maybe lower it a tad but otherwise leave it as is - hard to improve the looks....

I think that's to nice of a ride to go full custom. It's nice like it is now. Keep the general look of the car. I few mods might not be to bad but nothing big. Once you start cutting on the car it's forever changed. If you do modify anything ,keep the orginal parts. It will be worth more money.

I'd clean it up..get the chrome done ($$$)..get it very roadable and drive..
I did this one for my Dad years ago..
The colors on 50s Cads fit well with them..
Lower a little..get it so it doesn't lean like an oil tanker..
    If a daily..maybe disc brakes..

if you must do something with it
    1. wax
    2. 1-2" static drop in back (or raise the nose 2-3")
    3. bellflower exhaust

    DONE!
