My aunt Martha lives in Oatmeal. She has a ranch named "Snug Harbor". It is on the circle road just behind the Oatmeal can and church. First ranch on the right when you turn on the circle road.
    Small world.

Awesome so far guys. My alterior motive for this post is that I am constantly passing folks on the road in cool hot rods and classics around here. First I want to see who all is out there and then I would like to see of there is any interest in doing a meet or cruze. Just thought it would be cool to all meet up on a fri or sat night somewhere. I guess I could just go park somewhere and throw out a lawn chair to see what happens;)

Mike- I live just off of the loop but on the otherend from your aunts place. It is a small world.

Treb- lake buchanan is just down the road from me. I agree with the houston part, spent alot of time there when I was working the rigs offshore. Not exactly a "garden spot" in my opinion either.

shadams- Oatmeal is near Bertram which is near Liberty Hill and Burnet (north west of austin). Thats about the best way to describe it. Population is 24, just the way I like it. No home owners associations, no body gives a shit if you have your projects around. Biggest nussicance is the old timers stopping by when they see you out working on them. Thats not really a nussince except that I always get caught up in a couple hours of conversation with them and don't get much work done. But thats OK with me:)

  15. Always been curious about the hillcountry; sounds like my kind of heaven. (Gotta get down there someday to buy a "reasonably priced" pickup in Houston/Austin, and check it out)

Seatex- it's not next to the eggs, it's in a bowl;) Here is how to get to Oatmeal from Austin, take us183 north to seward junction (just north of Leander/cedar park) and hang a right on to hwy29. Once on 29, continue on through liberty hill untill you get to Bertram(about 12mi after you get on hwy29) once in Bertram go through THE light and take a right at the hungry moose resturaunt on to county road 243. Continue on about 7 miles and you will see a 15 foot tall water tower painted like an oatmeal can. You are in oatmeal, pop.24. Then all that is left to do is stop by to shoot the shit and have a sip of moonshine(made on premises). Where are you located?
