28/29 Ford Closed Cab pickup pics Wanted

    i have a wooden top on my truck and I fiberglassed over the wood but i need something for the back and sides where the wood meets the metal...like a moulding of sometype is there something available like that ..i figured on most the vinyl comes down to it ,but i'm not using the vinyl

    Here is a pic of an early 30 cab. All the same sheetmetal, but has the twist on gas cap instead of the screw on cap. I tried for several years to buy this cab and the other scattered parts from it. Rod

    Of course it looks 28-29! Ford did not update the pickups at the same time as the cars so the early 30 cabs were 28-29 cabs with gas tanks using the 1930-31 large twist-on caps like all the other 30 bodies. It was just a few short months before the "conventional" 30 cabs came into use, they were were used on small pickup chassis trucks until the interim 28-29 style cabs were used up on AA big truck chassis, then all production was using the "NEW" cab.
