thread after thread like this. I had to keep my 61 Dodge outside when my junk outgrew my shop for a while. I removed the battery and chained it to a pole. I'm within earshot of everything I own, but somehow I had an O/T stupid car stolen literally 20 feet from my pillow.

Good news on this one, guys. I just got an email from the owner. He got his car back today. The car was recovered in W. Virginia.

He didn't give any details as far as the cir***stances or in what shape it was recovered but good news, nonetheless.

That's really terrific. :D If you get some details please let us know, especially if the AH's that stole it were caught and the condition of the car.

What a bad deal, I hate seeing these posts. I however realize we must take responsibility for our rides and put saftey devices on to stop it. Shut offs, alarms, GPS's, we just can't take our own homes as a safe port anymore. 'These friggin *****s have no fear and will so the most daring things to steel goods. Best wishes for a recovery on your baby! ~sololobo~

The owner says he got the car back intact. Just the trim around the window was messed up, from them changing the vin #.

More news. It sounds like these guys were professionals. 5 arrests and they had other stolen cars. I hope the s***bags do some serious jail time.
